A very recognisable face was in the congregation at St Columbas Church in Rosses Point on Wednesday afternoon last, at the Confirmation ceremony for students from Realt Na Mara N.S. Marty Wheelan, well known RTE presenter and personality, watched on as his nephew celebrated his confirmation at a mass presided over by Bishop Christy Jones. Marty had attended the ceremony especially to see nephew Paul Dent, of Ballincar and sixteen of his classmates, make their confirmation. Also in attendance was Sligo Weekender Entertainment Editor, Robert Cullen, whose brother, Barry, also celebrated confirmation. Congratulations to all seventeen of the students from Realt Na Mara who celebrated their confirmation on Wednesday.
